Movie Releases: Friday March 13th

TOKYO SONATA:

- SYNOPSIS: An ordinary Japanese family slowly disintegrates after its patriarch loses his job at a prominent company.

This film was written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa who originally made a name for himself by making J-Horror (which of course is Japanese Horror) flicks. I'm very curious to see how he does in the drama genre, but it's been getting great reviews everywhere so far. I'm definitely going to try and check this out.

SUNSHINE CLEANING:

- SYNOPSIS: In order to raise the tuition to send her young son to private school, a mom starts an unusual business -- a biohazard removal/crime scene clean-up service -- with her unreliable sister.

The premise is great, I mean how many films have you seen based around a crime scene clean-up job? It has a great cast and looks like it will be a good comedy... well probably a little dark but that's probably going to make it better.

THE EDGE OF LOVE:

- SYNOPSIS: Two feisty, free-spirited women are connected by the brilliant, charismatic poet who loves them both.

This one is loosely based on true events surrounding poet Dylan Thomas during World War II. It stars Cillian Murphy, which is usually a good sign along with Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller. I'm not into love dramas but if you are this might be worth checking out.

+ The Edge of Love [Rotten Tomatoes]

Have a good weekend everyone! Let me know your thoughts if you catch any of these films.
