When you first see this artwork you automatically think the artist is Japanese. While they are one hundred percent Japan inspired, the designs are actually done by Italian artist Simone Legno. What started as artwork on his personal website eventually became the monster art brand Tokidoki. Legno chose the Japanese word for "sometimes," Tokidoki as his brand name because everyone wait's for the moment that changes one's destiny. It doesn't really make sense to me but hey, to each their own.
Tokidoki makes everything from toys, apparel, shoes, watches, bags, snowboard gear and even soccer balls or anything you can put a design on which is pretty much everything. I even own an USB flash drive made by them. It's great to see artists finding ways to make money, and Legno's Tokidoki designs are taking the pop culture by storm much like Sanrio did years back. I mean just look at the artwork how can you resist!?
